Dude walks into our store and asks...

"Do you sell books  here??"

Nah.. we just put them up on the shelves so people can come in and admire them. When anyone tries to buy one we hit them with a really big stick.

Sorry.. just feeling overly sarcastic today....

I've had my share of strange questions during the past eight years I've worked here.......

I was just finished hanging up a framed print in the gift section when a woman stops me and proceeds to ask......"What is an appropriate age to start a child on piano lessons?"

How the heck should I know, and why are you asking ME this?

"Is this a library?"

One of my fellow cashiers today had a customer who wanted to return a book. Problem was, this book was obviously quite old, and quite used. The cover was scratched up and the corners dulling, the pages were yellowing and fanned, and the pages weren't even attached to the cover.
